I woke up with the weight of two big exams on my shoulders. Well, I also woke up with heavy eye lids because of my 4:30 AM wake up call. Before I could focus on the exams, I had to go to my nanny job and get the boys ready for school. Two of the three boys were being very defiant and ended up having to sit in "time out" until their bus came. This is never good for my nerves (or theirs)!
Back at home after work, I hit the books for some last minute cramming. My eyes kept closing. I tried so hard to keep them open but then deduced that a short nap would give me enough energy to have a productive study session. The first test came and went. I feel a B coming on that exam.
Then, lunch with a girl in my class. The 70 something degrees, sunny day could not be passed up. We ate outside. Then after she went on to her next class, I studied err crammed for exam number two. I walked in the building to take my second test to discover the A/C was not working. Gross! I left that exam feeling a B coming from that test as well.
Then, I went outside to get out of the heat. I was going to do the reading assignment but my eyes, once again, became heavy. So instead, I sat in a chair, propped up my feet and took a nap. I love naps. I LOVE naps.
After my glorious nap outside in the cooling weather. I bought a cup of coffee and made my way back to my classroom. When I arrived, I realized my cup of coffee wasn't as desirable in the very hot classroom. But then, my professor suggested we have class outside.
So I sat in the cooling air outside, sipping my coffee, and watching the sun set as my Philosophy professor taught. I walked away from school satisfied with the day and ready to crawl into my pj's and eat some dinner!
