I called my Dad today and asked if I came over and studied at my parents house, would he put a fire in the fireplace? A few hours later, here I am, sitting by the fire with a mug of tea while I watch the snow fall and *ehem* attempt to study.
Before I arrived at my parents, I stopped at the grocery story for a few items (boy was it busy!). The bag boy that helped me out with my groceries was a man named Andy. Andy has Down Syndrome. I really like Andy because he makes me think of the boy, Aleks, I watch who also has Down Syndrome. I think about what Aleks will be like when he is older and if he will be able to get a job like Andy. Anyway, I was trying to make conversation with Aleks as he helped me out with my groceries and Andy kept interrupting me by yelling "I love snow!" or "100 percent snow today!". I just laughed because he wouldn't really answer my questions fully because the snow was too distracting for him. As I drove away he was still outside rejoicing in the fact that it was snowing.
Oh it is the little moments...
