I just ate one of my Mom's Russian tea cakes. This is definitely one cookie that you cannot sneak from the cookie jar! I have powdered sugar all over me! But it was definitely worth the mess!
Little moments that I liked the past two days:
Yesterday, I was watching "my boys". Aleks, who has Down Syndrome, really wanted a kiss from me. I hadn't seen the boys in over a week and I normally hug and give Aleks a hundred kisses because he loves it. But yesterday, I was not able to do so because he was sick. So I kept having to tell him no. After his request for a kiss was denied, he decided to get creative with me. He told me I was a Princess, which I, of course, accepted. And then he got down in front of me and pretended that he was a frog. He wanted me to kiss him so he could become a prince. That little boy is already trying to pull the moves to get a kiss. As cute as it was, I still had to deny him his kiss. I guess he will have to be a frog for a few more days... :-(
Last night, I did some grocery shopping. As I was shopping, I saw a man sorting through his coupons as much as I was, trying to find the best deals in the store. As I was picking out the cheapest syrup to buy, I noticed he stuck a piece of paper next to some pancake mix and then walk on. After he was a bit away, I went and got a closer look of the paper. It was a coupon. The man had put a coupon he was not going to use, next to the mix so someone else to get a great deal on the pancake mix. I love those little acts of thoughtfulness!
Today, after finishing up the last of my Christmas shopping. I was driving home listening to my Christmas Carols. I noticed the car in front of me had something written on their back window. It said "Ha Ha!!" I couldn't help but laugh. I kept laughing. I don't know why something so simple got me laughing but I am sure glad it did!
It is the little moments in life...
Heather, I love your stories and the way you write. You make me smile. :-) I was wondering, though, do you think the window said "Ho Ho"? I can't wait to see you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandi! It definitely had "a's" though...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see you either!
