Proud Grandpa

I have noticed more and more sweet moments over the past few years and some, are so sweet that I would like to share them with you. I think my awareness of the small, sweet, moments, started when I was on crutches last year. I remember fellow students getting my chair ready for me before I would show up to class or stay after class to help me get my stuff together (carrying a heavy book bag while on crutches is not fun). I was always impressed with the lengths the students would got o help me.

Last night, I was studying in a lounge section of one of my school buildings. I heard a man telling someone "ask any student here who their favorite Professor is". Then I saw the man walk towards the area I was in, he had two little girls around the age of 5 or 6 with him. The man (who I easily deducted was a Professor and the Grandpa of these two little girls), then pointed to a student who was clearly one of his student and told the girls, "just ask him who his favorite professor is." So, the two little girls went up to the student and asked him who his favorite Professor was and he told them that their Grandpa was. The Grandpa just looked at the girls and said "See, I told you" and the girls would smile. The Professor did this a couple of different times having the girls go up to different students of his and ask them the same question.

I saw this little moment in time as such a sweet interaction. The girls grew more proud of their Grandpa and their Grandpa was so proud to show the girls his work.
